Embracing your Journey back to God.

Let me first just say, something you come to realize after some time is that something nobody can take from you is your journey in life. Everyone’s journey is uniquely beautiful – kind of like how every sunset is uniquely beautiful in it’s own way. We all have the freedom to flow and explore life however we desire, in order to get to a place where we feel aligned and closer to source. The weird thing is, God doesn’t judge anyone’s journey back to Him, He just wants to make the journey easier for us. However sometimes we’re still just young and dumb and think we can outsmart God (Pfff…) They say the best way to learn is from other people’s mistakes, but sometimes we just need to make our own mistakes to realize the magnitude of the value of how we approach that specific area of life. There’s something beautiful in the juxtaposition and naïve-ness of not knowing something, allowing the hurt to chisel and refine us to our core, and coming out of it smarter, wiser and more beautiful on the other side. Sure, you may have been way better without going through it. But the mistake happens, and the great thing is that there is hope and you’re not stuck there – we have the power to 100% restore and heal ourselves back to our vibrant exuberant selves even after whatever mistake we made or allowed in our naiveness. And so sometimes you just have to go through those toxic unhealthy self-destructive phases to realize – oh wait, it’s not working, it’s only keeping me in a cycle and bringing temporary happiness. God was right all along (like He always is).

You’re also allowed to pause and disassociate from the notifications on your phone in order to do some soul navigating. Maybe you’ll let down a few people by not responding to texts about nothing, but you’ll definitely impress God by your willingness to get serious about the essence of life. You’re allowed to exist without proving your worth. That is one of those things you’ll quickly realize if you just put away the distractions and stare at the ceiling for a bit. That your merits are not what define you. How you help others, yourself, and the community plays a big role – Yes. However that also doesn’t define us. We are worthy just as we are- just existing. We are worthy just by blissfully existing. Yes, that’s a fact but don’t get me wrong, it’s also not an excuse to do nothing.

Although we are human-beings, we are also human – doings. We were created to do just as Jesus did. The fact that Jesus wasn’t even married or in a relationship and he was still deemed to be the happiest person on earth. Hm, maybe that’s the key to happiness. Kidding. Although it does prove that being or not being in a relationship doesn’t really matter in the things of God. Much of it had to do with Jesus simply loving what was right and hating what was wrong. It’s that simple. That is why He was “anointed with the oil of gladness.” Aka, God gave him happiness. Of course in our day and time, these things are easy to say but hard to do. We are surrounded by a plethora of influences making us question whether we’re too old-school or whether we should adapt to the modern ways. But it’s simple really. Love what is right. Hate what is wrong. People always wonder – well, what is right? that is so vague, you don’t understand my situation, like the bible doesn’t really talk about my situation. Okay. Well, just ask yourself – What would Jesus do or what do you think Jesus would tell you? Most people know the answer but are still influenced by modern views or their emotions. Guess what. God doesn’t care about your emotions or feelings.(Harsh, I know, sorry.) God cares that what you are doing is right, and is backed up by His Word. Sometimes we have to realize that yes – tuning in with our emotions is healthy. However letting emotions control you is not. We need to let emotions do what they do, and let them pass like a storm, and then get back to our normal ideal selves by doing what is right. So yes, God doesn’t care about your feelings. He cares about you doing what is right so that you can experience unending joy because of that. Because afterall, God is always on our side. Joy is a long-lasting state of being, not necessarily a feeling or emotion. Joy is promised by God and something we should strive towards. Those who possess the holy spirit can tap into that fountain of joy from God whenever they want to, really.

There is so much joy ahead for us. In Romans 14:17, it states, “For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

In Psalm 16:11, the psalmist writes, “You make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.

5 Natural Methods to Promote Sleep & Restfulness

We all want to sleep better and feel rested in the morning. However, some people are more easily disturbed by their bed time routine than others. You may have just had a bad day at work and you’re too stressed or tired to fall asleep. Or maybe you have bad habits that keep you from falling asleep. Whatever the reason, there are many natural ways to promote sleeping well at night.

Sleep is one of the most important and basic things that we all need. Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night and were not sure what to do? You can use all sorts of tricks – from melatonin, to warm milk…but some tricks are more effective than others. The following can be implemented individually or used all at once for maximum effectiveness.

1. Meditation

Meditation: This is one of the most underappreciated forms of relaxation there is. It’s easy to get stuck in our heads with thoughts and worries—it’s easy to let those thoughts take over our lives! But meditation helps us clear our heads of clutter so that we can focus on being present in the moment. There are many different types of meditation techniques (like mindfulness meditation), but all of them focus on bringing awareness into your body and mind so that you can connect more deeply with yourself and others around you. You’ll find yourself feeling calmer after these sessions!

2. Binaural Beats Music

Binaural beats music is an excellent way to promote sleep and restfulness. Binaural beats are auditory illusions where different sounds are played in the right and left ear at slightly different frequencies, creating a calming sensation in the brain. This can be especially beneficial if you’re trying to wind down after a long day of travelling. Whether you’re flying or waiting for a flight, binaural beats music can be an effective way to relax and restore your energy levels. Just pop on some headphones and listen to calming, soothing sounds as you drift off into a peaceful sleep. Just search “Binaural beats” or “sleep music” on youtube and one is sure to appear to help you relax and fall asleep!

3. Milk & Honey

One way to ensure you get the best rest possible is to drink a glass of warm milk and honey before bed. The combination of the calcium in the milk and the natural sugars found in honey helps to promote melatonin production, which can help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. In addition, milk has properties that help relax muscles, while honey provides your body with an energy boost to keep you energized and well-rested throughout the day. Make sure to drink this mixture at least an hour before going to bed for maximum benefit.

4. Ashwagandha

Another great way to promote restfulness is through the use of ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is an ancient herb that helps the body adapt to stress, reduces anxiety and increases overall energy levels. It also has calming effects, helping you relax and sleep better. Try taking a supplement before bed or making yourself a cup of ashwagandha tea, which can be made with honey for a little sweetness.

5. Essential Oils. Lotions, Or Bath Salts

Essential oils and lotion are powerful tools to promote restfulness. Not only do they smell amazing, they can also help you relax and fall asleep faster. Lavender and chamomile essential oils are known for their calming and sleep-inducing properties. Try adding a few drops to a diffuser or apply directly to the skin for a soothing effect. Lotions with calming scents like eucalyptus and sandalwood can also be used for aromatherapy. Additionally, applying lotion will not only help you stay relaxed but will help keep your skin from drying out.

Another way to promote restfulness is to take a relaxing bath. To make it even more luxurious and calming, adding some bath salts to the water can provide therapeutic benefits. Not only do they help ease muscle tension and reduce inflammation, but they also have a pleasing scent that can bring on a sense of tranquility. Bath salts come in various scents such as lavender, rosemary, and chamomile, all of which can help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation. After soaking in a bath of salts, you’ll be ready to drift off to sleep with a sense of calmness, freshness, and relaxation.

Important Things to Know Before Traveling to Hawaii

If you’re planning on traveling to Hawaii, there are a few things you should know and prepare for before your journey. Hawaii is known for its stunning beaches and active nightlife, so it’s important to be well-prepared for your trip. Here are some tips to help you get ready for your time in Hawaii, for whatever island you decide to visit.

1. Pack Lightly

Whenever traveling to the Hawaiian islands, visitors almost always bring too much unnecessary clothing. Pack only what you need in order to avoid any excess baggage fees. This will also make it easier to carry around your luggage while you explore the city, as well as give you extra baggage space if planning to return with any goods or souvenirs purchased there.

2. Plan your Itinerary

Vacations often take alot of planning beforehand – which is a good thing. Otherwise, your trip will end up feeling a bit discombobulated. Unless you prefer frantically searching for things to do on google while barely being able to see your screen on the beach. From flights, hotels, transportation, or tours, it is always a good idea to plan ahead. Make sure you can make all your flights in time. Make sure your hotel check in day corresponds with your flight arrival day. Make sure you know how you will transport within the city (Uber? Rental? Walk? Bike?) Make sure to make early reservations for any tours, as they book up quickly. Vacationing may take a lot of planning, but if done correctly, is always worth it!

3. Check the Whether

Make sure to check the weather before you leave and pack clothes accordingly. Yes, Hawaii is known for it’s warm climate. However, Hawaii is also known for it’s subtle but quick changes in whether. Climate also varies during different times of the year. If you’re going during the winter months, pack a light jacket or cardigan to keep warm if it starts to rain or during the evening when it can get a little chilly with the ocean breeze.

4. Be Prepared for the Beach

Hawaii is known for its beautiful beaches, so make sure to bring your beach gear including sunscreen, a towel, swimsuit, and flip flops. Double check with your hotel to see if they provide towels – that way you can save some baggage space! Also be aware that tanning beds often are not free and need to be rented out. Bring your own tanning chair if you have the baggage space, or simply purchase one there. Oftentimes though, a towel is sufficient for lounging. If you’re traveling to popular Hawaiian destinations, such as Honolulu, also be prepared for crowded beaches. Places such as Waikiki Beach can get fairly crowded – both on the streets and on the beaches. These populated areas are often full of tourists, locals, houseless people, and sometimes also pigeons. If a crowded beach doesn’t feel like a pleasant experience for you, make sure to research an island and beach that will fit your desires if you’re in search of something more secluded.

5. Make Sure to Have extra Spending Money

Just when you thought you got it all paid for after booking your flight and hotel, you come to Hawaii and realize that you’re still going to be spending more money? Yup! From strolling by all the stores, seeing the enticing ice-cream and cafe’s, to the exotic tour stops that have amazing coffee – trust us when we say that you’ll need some extra spending money. Also make sure to bring some cash – though rare, some vendors only accept cash. But as you should already know, spending money is the name of the game when going on holiday! Just enjoy yourself, right?

With these few tips, you’ll be well-prepared for your trip to Hawaii and have an enjoyable experience during your stay! Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments below!

Chic Fall Outfits to Stay Stylish This Season

When fall comes, it’s time to ditch the warm-weather clothes and trade them in for cooler weather-appropriate ensembles. Whether you’re just getting back into the swing of things or it’s been awhile since you dusted off your wardrobe, now’s the time to start planning how you want to look this fall and into the winter months ahead! Here are some chic fall outfits that will help you stay stylish as temperatures start dropping.

1. The Oversized Turtleneck

This season, turtleneck sweaters are a chic and convenient way to stay stylish. They’re also perfect for when you want a little more coverage from the cold because they cover your neck and chest. While turtleneck sweaters were traditionally thought of as being worn by grandpas, fashion has changed over the years and these sweaters are now seen on everyone from the runway models at Fashion Week to celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Jennifer Lopez. One thing is for sure – turtlenecks are back!

2. The Midi Dress

If you love the midi dress trend, but can’t imagine wearing one during cold weather, there are a few ways to style it during autumn without breaking a sweat. Dress your midi up with leather leggings and boots for a chic-yet-cozy look. Layer with tights or leggings and wear over your favorite sweater for extra warmth. Wear with chunky wedges for an elevated look that will keep you comfortable all day long. Or, wear it during the evening over skinny jeans and add a blazer to dress up the ensemble for date night or girls’ night out.

3. The Cropped Jeans

If you are not familiar with the cropped jean trend, it is just what it sounds like: jeans that fall at or above the ankle. The low-rise cut of these jeans creates a slimmer silhouette, which is perfect for showing off those new killer calf muscles from all that hard work on the elliptical. And don’t worry about not being able to show off your shoe collection because this style plays nice with both heels and flats alike.

4. The puffy vest

Vests are a great way to look stylish this fall season. They can be worn over a top for the office or paired with your favorite jeans and boots for casual wear. Puffy vests can also be worn as an outer layer, adding warmth to any outfit.

5. The Knee-High Boots

The iconic knee-high boots are a wardrobe staple for fall. They’re perfect for transitioning from summer to winter, and they always manage to make an outfit feel chic and polished. Once the cold weather rolls in, there’s nothing like slipping on a pair of knee-high boots to keep your feet warm and dry. Here are some tips on how to style your knee-high boots this fall:

1 – Pair them with skinny jeans or leggings. #2 – Match them with a belted sweater dress or skirt if you’re wearing them out at night. #3 – Layer them over tights with a pair of flats or oxfords if it’s chilly outside.

Effortlessly Chic Work Attire for Women

Working at an office can have it’s pros and cons. People typically tend to talk negatively about office jobs, but they can actually be quite intriguing, depending on your personality type. In office jobs you can often meet a diverse group of people and create great friends or develope fun working relationships with coworkers because of the close proximity and every-day banter common at these kinds of jobs. However often times, people who are not fond of dressing up to sit at a computer, often complain about such aspects – while others get excited about finding another business casual outfit to feel like a boss babe at work. No? Just Me? Cool Cool. Anyways if that happens to also be you, here are some of the currently trending business casual office outfits that might inspire you on your next shopping spree and/or give you some extra motivation for your current or next office job!

1. A Blazer with a Pantsuit

A blazer with a pantsuit is such a sophisticated look. This type of outfit is great for any and all professional-type jobs such as attorney, state worker, clerk, administrative assistant, etc. You are sure to be taken seriously and professionally when wearing an outfit such as this one. It is a great combo, especially if it is a matching set such as the one above from Shein. If you have an office job, a blazer pantsuit combo is definitely a wardrobe essential!

2. Pencil Skirt Outfit

A pencil skirt outfit is sure to accentuate those curves. Not that it matters at work, but you know it’s always nice to feel confident on the job. What’s better than a confidence boost to boost your productivity, right? There are oh so many options with a pencil skirt. They go well with just about any type of top – blouses, collared shirts, cardigans, longsleeves, or any combination of those. A pencil skirt outfit is a great option for a work outfit – especially for professions that require professional or business – like demeanors. Just don’t forget to accompany a pencil skirt with at least semi – comfortable shoes!

3. Business – Casual Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are such a simple wardrobe piece, yet they are such an elegant statement. These are perfect for office – wear for whatever office job you have, whether it be on the computer or up and about, or showing clients new real estate. 4. Button-Up Loose Longsleeves

Button up loose longsleeve shirts are a currently trending wardrobe staple. They are great for work attire, but they are also great for so many other occasions. These loose longsleeves are perfect because they let you breathe with no added extra tightness of a fitted shirt. Not to mention, they make you look effortlessly chic and/or proffesional!

The 5 Pillars of Goddess Energy: How to Raise Your Vibration and Embody Your Feminine Power

Goddess energy can be hard to define, but every woman feels it in some form or another. It’s the confidence you feel when you walk into a room and all eyes are on you; it’s the calm you feel when you witness an act of kindness; it’s the love that radiates from your heart when you are holding your child close to yours. The love goddess energy represents is unconditional, everlasting, and ever-present. It has been there since the beginning of time and will continue to exist long after we are gone. Here are five pillars of goddess energy you can use to elevate your feminine vibe and express yourself as the empowered woman you are.

1) Love Yourself

Love yourself, as that is your key into opening up your body and spirit for a deeper connection with divine feminine energy. The divine feminine is about healing love in our bodies; she is a nurturing healer who guides us to becoming self-reliant through service. Divine feminine energy is unconditional love, forgiveness, compassion, caring, abundant joys, overflowing happiness. Love yourself deeply so you can be open to feel her energies fully. And don’t forget that allowing others in our lives to hurt us or mistreat us shuts out her light too. Only true unconditional love will allow you to realize your spiritual potentials! Use loving intentions towards all in your life every day — it feels good! In fact, if you can learn to truly love yourself unconditionally, then and only then are you able to really feel another’s pain, sadness or despair – just like they are feeling it themselves. If we’re going to heal ourselves and our planet at large, we need more people working on their own individual growth rather than focusing on what everyone else should do (or not do). Loving ourselves means accepting everything about ourselves – both negative AND positive traits – and treating ourselves with kindness. It also means knowing when we need help from other people…we aren’t meant to walk alone!

2) Connect with Nature

Connecting with nature is important for all aspects of life, not just goddess energy. If you’re in a big city, go on a walk in a park every day; if you’re on vacation in rural Vermont, head out on a hike or maybe just sit by yourself and stare at the clouds for an hour. This is important because spending time in nature helps our minds de-stress, recharges our batteries (literally—studies have shown that exposure to nature can help us fight seasonal affective disorder), and reminds us that we’re still part of something bigger than ourselves. Also it’s nice to be near trees. It’s always a good idea to make sure your mind and body are in sync, so while you’re outside doing whatever you do when connected with nature, try practicing yoga as well.

3) Do what You Love

The most obvious tip for raising your feminine energy is to do what you love. It’s important to note that you have many different interests, talents, and areas in which you are gifted. There’s no need to do what is considered a traditional role or career if it doesn’t bring out your full power. If you know what your gifts are, find a way that allows you express them fully. Choose work or activities that make you feel creatively alive. You might not be able to work at Starbucks as an artist every day, but there might be something else you can do—like teaching art classes on weekends or working part-time in an art supply store while supporting yourself with another job.

4) Give Back

When you’re feeling low, there’s something about working for a good cause that can pick you up. Whether it is volunteering at your favorite animal shelter or giving back at your place of worship, there is something amazing about feeling inspired by a sense of purpose. This energy affects not only us but those around us as well. When we give back in a big way, we are engaging our feminine energy on all levels. It makes us feel better, it lifts others up with our kindness and generosity, and it connects us with other like-minded individuals who understand what you’re going through. Such an important thing isn’t something we should ignore.

5) Accept & Receive

Goddess energy isn’t about material gain. One principle is accepting gifts and compliments from others as graciously as possible, even if you don’t believe them; remember, it’s important to honor your internal energy as well as outward appearances. You are divine, after all. If someone offers a compliment or gift to you, accept it graciously. Whether that means telling someone they look nice in their new outfit or thanking them for giving you a ride home, there are plenty of opportunities to express gratitude throughout your day—just try not to overdo it! While some people may seem uncomfortable receiving praise (and some people simply don’t want compliments), practice accepting what comes your way.
